Newcastle progress on away goals

With the game finishing at 2-1 the aggregate score was 4-4. However, as Newcastle had scored two goals over in Spain they progressed to the next round on the 'away goals' rule.

First Half

There was collision between Foggon and the Zaragoza keeper, just after Newcastle's second goal that saw Neives have to go off and Alarcia took over in goal. Later in the half Santos, the Zaragoza captain, had his name taken by the referee.

Second Half

Violeta joined his captain in the ref's book when he had his name taken as well.
