NB: With the dissolution of the First Division and the formation of the Premier League in the 1992-93 the Second Division, which Newcastle were in, became the First Division and winning it gave Newcastle promotion to the Premier League. However it is still counted here as a "Second Division" title as it was the second tier of English football, as it still was when it was renamed to the "Coca-Cola Championship".
