2-3Alan Foggon. Latching on to a Davies flick on, Foggon fired the ball goalwards only to see it pushed onto the bar by the keeper. However he was first to react and pounced on the rebound, putting the ball into the empty net.
Cup Glory For Newcastle
Newcastle were rattled when they went two goals down in the first half but a great display of guts - and a two goal blast within two minutes turned the game on its head. Firing a third to make it 3-2 on the night and 6-2 on aggregate this was a great night to be a Geordie!
